New Features

GENESYS includes several new features and performance improvements - many of which were requested by our users. Here's the Top 10:
 

1. Open GENESYS II Projects

Maybe not everyone would put this on their Top 10 list, but for our loyal GENESYS II customers - this is big.

2. Quick Start Interior

Adding rooms with grids and lighting is now even easier. Fill out one screen and press Create.

3. Auto Recalc

Designer's new exterior functionality includes real-time calculations. Add lighting, move lighting, etc, all grid values are updated instantly.

4. Surface Luminance / Exitance

This is especially useful for looking at ceiling uniformity for indirect lighting applications.

5. Surface Grids

Pick any surface and Designer will add a grid to it. No need to move grids in 3D.

6. Daylight Factors / LEED

Not sure if your daylight harvesting is effective? - Use Designer to determine daylight factors and confirm LEED requirements.

7. Poles

Build poles for lighting - any number of heads, any configuration. From high mast to pedestrian.

8. Racks

Racks for sports lighting and other flood lighting applications. A new rack editor automates arrangement and allows manual positioning.

9. Symmetry Tools

Add lighting in symmetry. Place one light, Designer will automatically place up to 3 more in symmetry based on your project.

10. Aim by Point

In addition to the other aiming methods, you can now specify aiming point elevations - then, just point and click.

11. AutoCAD 2010 Support

Import & export AutoCAD 12 - 2010 files.

12. Absoulte and Relative Photometry

Use any IES file you wish. Now supports Absolute Photometry (LED)
